The colorful leaves, pumpkin spice lattes, and the 13 Days of Halloween on ABC Family are just a few of the reasons that Autmn is one of the greatest seasons of the year.
From Halloween themed parties to pumpkin patches there are so many social opportunities during fall that I’ve decided to narrow down 5 of my personal (and not so basic) favorite activities to do during the season.
Go For A Hike
Nature is in its prime at this time. The trees are changing, there’s the crisp smell of leaves in the air, and the weather is at the perfect temperature for scenic exercise. Some of my favorite areas to explore include Arrowhead Park, Lake Alvin, The Outdoor Campus, and Good Earth.
Have A Bonfire.
(Bonus points if it’s by a lake) crack open a Not Your Father’s Rootbeer or your favorite Pumpkin Ale and chat around a cozy bonfire with your closest friends. Check out the stars and snuggle up with a blanket (or your significant other.)
Visit A Haunted House
Build up some courage and go through that maze of horror! Of course bring your closest friends (especially the one who is easily scared) and enjoy the thrill!
Tailgate A Football Game
My favorite version of this is to visit a different college and experience a new way of tailgating! I have visited The University of Nebraska Lincon every year and the experience has never let me down.
Visit A Farmer’s Market
This is a great way to find some great Apples, Pumpkins, Jam, etc. it’s also really amazing to see all the things your community offers!
Thanks for checking out my favorite things to do in fall!
